HISTORY

In 1952, Cliff Taro founded our parent company, North Pacific Maritime, to provide vessel agency services for the growing number of ships doing business in Alaska.   The company has continued to grow and prosper, over the years becoming an integral part of the shipping industry in Alaska.  Yacht Services of Alaska developed as an extension of North Pacific Maritime, bringing together years of experience as vessel agents, with consideration to specific needs of the yacht owner, captain and crew. 

PEOPLE

Les Cronk, Paul Axleson, Rex Westergard, and Debbie Azure in our Ketchikan office, have a combined five decades of experience in the maritime industry.  In addition, Fred Angerman of our Wrangell office, Fred Reeder of our Sitka office, Drew Green of our Juneau office, Stu Stevens of our Skagway office, and Chris Brown of our Anchorage office all bring many years experience servicing vessels in Alaska.
